OBKG, originally Osaka Kokusai Gakuin, was established in 1985 and is the longest-established Japanese language school in Osaka.

As a school focused on preparing students for admission to Japanese universities, graduate schools, and technical colleges to acquire advanced knowledge and skills, OBKG has produced over 2,000 graduates to date.

For international students coming from around the world, OBKG not only provides education in Japanese language and culture but also emphasizes guidance for daily life to ensure a safe and comfortable stay in Japan.

Life in Osaka

Departure from Dormitory

It takes 10–15 minutes on foot from the student dormitory to the school.

Morning Classes Begin

Students can study with confidence in classes suited to their level and goals.

End of Classes

For lunch, students may bring their own bento, buy food at a nearby supermarket, or eat at a restaurant. Near the school is Japan’s longest shopping street (2.6 km). Before exams, many students stay at school to study on their own.

Part-time job

Many students work part-time outside of class hours. If they work at a restaurant, they may even receive dinner as part of their job.

Returning Home

After getting home, students eat and relax, enjoying their free time. After completing homework and reviewing or preparing for classes, they go to bed early to be ready for the next day.
